Leading by Example.
In order to provide meaningful and effective programs that produce long-term and sustainable changes, SGA’s leaders consistently engage program partners, community leaders, government officials and other stakeholders to understand the dynamic needs of children, families and communities.
The Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors firmly believe in the mission and vision of SGA Youth & Family Services and work tirelessly to be a driving force of change throughout some of the most in-need communities in the greater Chicago area.
"I am proud of SGA. As a social services agency that has served Chicago for more than 100 years, it has evolved in an intelligent and thoughtful way to meet the needs of our communities, and survive and thrive financially in a very difficult and changing economic climate. Knowing that my great-grandmother served on SGA's Board so many years ago makes me so proud that I am able to follow in her footsteps and support an agency that transforms so many lives in truly meaningful ways in my own city!"
- Susan Fisher-Yellen, Community Volunteer"I support SGA because it gives me hope that communities and people can change and the future can be brighter."
- Jeffrey Toner, Partner, Private Vista"It is intrinsically rewarding to be a member of the dedicated Board of SGA. In this governance role, I can be a change agent in helping to set the strategic direction for SGA. It channels my passion by being an active advocate who supports SGA as it provides measurable and high-impact social services to youth and families in our most challenged Chicagoland neighborhoods."
