Virtual Annual Benefit "Building on Promise"
SGA Youth & Family Services' Virtual Annual Benefit raises funds for the programming provided by the Cycle of Opportunity®. This proven and innovative service method builds strong foundations for families through a continuum of comprehensive services at every stage of life, from cradle to career. It focuses on four main service areas: Parenting, Early Childhood Education, Education Support Services, and Workforce Development. SGA supports its program participants socially and emotionally by providing critical mental health and wraparound services.
This year's online event shines a spotlight on the struggles that immigrants in Chicago, Illinois, and America face every day, as well as what we can do to help the most vulnerable and underserved populations.
Our keynote speaker, Sonia Nazario, is an award-winning journalist whose stories have tackled some of this country’s most intractable problems including immigration. She is best known for the national bestseller and Pulitzer Prize-winning "Enrique's Journey," Sonia’s story of a Honduran boy’s struggle to find his mother in the U.S.
In addition to Sonia’s riveting keynote, you will also hear from one of our program participants whose life has changed for the better due to their perseverance and determination and assistance from SGA.
Ticket holders will receive a link via email to view the private online event a few days prior to June 18th.
